Want four seats and no roof? The real four-seat convertibles in our Dubai fleet are the BMW 4 Series and the Mercedes E-Class, CLE and C-Class, from AED 590 a day. The Mustang, Bentley and 911 are 2+2 cars.
4-Seaters vs 2+2 Convertibles: What to Know
A true four-seat convertible has two usable rear seats: two adults can sit behind two adults on a short or medium drive. A 2+2 has rear seats on paper, but they are sized for children or luggage. In our fleet the true four-seaters are the BMW 4 Series and the Mercedes E-Class, CLE and C-Class. The Ford Bronco Raptor and Jeep Wrangler are four-door SUVs with five seats and a removable roof. The Ford Mustang, Bentley Continental GTC and Porsche 911 are 2+2 cars.
Rear legroom is the quickest way to compare. BMW quotes 825 mm (32.5 inches) for the 4 Series Convertible, Mercedes-Benz quotes 34.1 inches for the E-Class Cabriolet, and the Mustang Convertible has 29.2 inches. Those three numbers explain most of the table below.
Helpful tipDecide who sits in the back before you pick a car. Two adults for more than half an hour: take a 4 Series or an E-Class. Children or bags only: any 2+2 will do, and you can spend the difference on the car you want to drive.

The Best 4-Seater Convertibles to Rent in Dubai
1. BMW 4 Series Convertible: Best Everyday Four-Seater

The BMW 420 Convertible is the most practical true four-seater we rent for a mixed group: two adults can use its rear seats for a city drive or a run to the coast, and the daily rate is moderate. It starts from AED 770 a day for 1-2 days and drops to AED 530 a day on 30+ day bookings. The minimum age is 21 with 3 years of driving experience.
BMW gives 825 mm (32.5 inches) of rear legroom, and the soft-top boot holds 385 litres with the roof up and 300 litres with it folded. The 420 has a 184 HP turbocharged four-cylinder (0-100 km/h in 8.2 seconds, according to the car page). The 430 Convertible at the same daily rate has 258 HP and does 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds.
Helpful tipWant the same body with far more power? The BMW M4 Competition Convertible makes around 500 HP and starts from AED 1 310 a day, with a minimum age of 25. It shares the 4 Series Convertible body, so keep adults in the back to shorter trips.

2. Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet: Best Luxury Cruiser

The Mercedes E200 Convertible has the most rear legroom of the car-based convertibles we can quote. Mercedes-Benz quotes 34.1 inches of rear legroom for the E-Class Cabriolet, more than the BMW 4 Series. It is tuned for smooth, quiet cruising rather than speed: a 184 HP turbocharged four-cylinder, rear-wheel drive and 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds. The E200 starts from AED 830 a day for 1-2 days and AED 590 a day for 30+ days. The minimum age is 23 with 3 years of experience.
If you want the same open-top idea for less money, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet starts with the C180 Convertible at AED 590 a day. It is a smaller car, so expect less room in the back than in the E-Class.
Helpful tipMercedes offers Aircap, a wind deflector that cuts draughts in the cabin, and Airscarf, which blows warm air at neck level from the front headrests. Airscarf only reaches the driver and the front passenger, so it will not warm the rear seats. Equipment differs from car to car, so check the equipment list on the car page.

3. Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet: Newest Four-Seater

The Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet White is a 2024 car with four seats, a 204 HP turbocharged 2.0-litre engine, 4MATIC all-wheel drive and a 0-100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds. It starts from AED 830 a day for 1-2 days and AED 590 a day for 30+ days. The minimum age on the car page is 25, with 3 years of driving experience.
We have no official rear legroom figure for it, and reviewers disagree about how much room adults get in the back. Treat the rear seats as a good fit for children and for short hops, and look at the car at handover if you plan to carry two adults behind.
2+2 Convertibles: Style First, Rear Seats Second
4. Ford Mustang Convertible: Best Affordable 2+2

The Ford Mustang Convertible is one of the most affordable ways into a muscle-car drop-top. The Convertible has a 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 317 HP and does 0-100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. It starts from AED 590 a day for 1-2 days and AED 420 a day for 30+ days, with a minimum age of 23 and 3 years of experience.
Rear legroom is 29.2 inches, so the back seats suit children or a short hop for adults. If you want a V8, the Mustang GT 5.0L V8 (the red car in the photo) has 480 HP and does 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. It starts from AED 710 a day for 1-2 days.
5. Bentley Continental GTC: Best Ultra-Luxury Tourer

The Bentley Continental GTC is built for long, quiet drives in front-seat comfort: a multi-layer acoustic soft top, hand-stitched leather and a deep, calm ride. The Azure Black has a 542 HP twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8, all-wheel drive and a 0-100 km/h time of 4.0 seconds. Think of it as a 2+2 grand tourer: the rear seats are small and best kept for short hops or bags.
It starts from AED 3 120 a day for 1-2 days and AED 2 190 a day for 30+ days. The minimum age is 25 with 3 years of driving experience.
VerdictChoose the Continental GTC for the front-seat experience and the badge, and plan the luggage around the front two seats and the boot. If four adults must travel together, the BMW or the Mercedes is the better rental.

6. Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet: Best Performance 2+2

The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet puts 541 HP behind you and a folding fabric roof above you. The small rear seats are for a child or a few soft bags, not for adults. It starts from AED 2 270 a day for 1-2 days and AED 1 670 a day for 30+ days. The minimum age is 25 with 3 years of experience.
7. Porsche 911 Targa 4S: Best All-Wheel-Drive Open-Roof 911

The Porsche 911 Targa 4S has 450 HP, all-wheel drive and a fold-away roof panel. The car page lists 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Like the Carrera GTS, it is a 2+2 with child-size rear seats. It starts from AED 2 270 a day for 1-2 days and AED 1 550 a day for 30+ days. The minimum age is 25, with 3 to 5 years of experience depending on the car.
Helpful tipIn any 2+2, put children in the rear seats and never in the front: in the UAE a child under 10 or shorter than 145 cm must not ride in the front seat. The section below explains the rule.

Open-Air SUVs: Bronco Raptor and Wrangler
8. Ford Bronco Raptor: Most Rear Legroom

For four adults and some luggage, the four-door Ford Bronco Raptor beats any car-based convertible. It has about 36 inches of rear legroom, five seats and removable roof panels over the front and rear seats. The Raptor has a 420 HP twin-turbo V6 and does 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. It starts from AED 910 a day for 1-2 days and AED 560 a day for 30+ days. The minimum age is 23 with 3 years of experience.
9. Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler 392: Four Doors, Open Roof

The four-door Jeep Wrangler has full rear doors, five seats and a roof you can take off. The standard Wrangler has a 272 HP V6 and starts from AED 710 a day for 1-2 days (AED 420 for 30+ days). The Wrangler 392 has a 477 HP 6.4-litre V8 and does 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. It starts from AED 760 a day for 1-2 days (AED 510 for 30+ days). Both need a minimum age of 23 and 3 years of experience.
Helpful tipBoth SUVs are rented for public roads only: sand and off-road driving are not covered by the insurance. They are best for city streets, highways and coastal roads with the roof off.

How to Choose a Family-Friendly Convertible to Rent
Rear-Seat Access
Raw legroom tells only part of the story. To reach the back seats of any two-door convertible you squeeze past the front seat, so door width and how far the front seat slides forward matter as much as the legroom figure. Climb into the back yourself at handover and check that the person who will sit there can do it comfortably.
Soft Tops and Boot Space
With the roof folded, a soft top takes space from the boot. In the BMW 4 Series, for example, the boot shrinks from 385 to 300 litres when the roof is down. If you are travelling with luggage for four, check the boot with the roof folded, not raised.
Children, Child Seats and the Front Seat
Child seats are free with Brook Drive, so you do not need to bring your own. Under the UAE federal traffic law, children under four must travel in a child seat, and children under 10 or shorter than 145 cm must not sit in the front seat. Drivers can be fined AED 400 for breaking the front-seat rule, as Gulf News reports from Ministry of Interior figures. In practice that means every child rides in the back, so a convertible with two front seats and a small rear bench is only practical when the rear seats fit the child seat.
Helpful tipTell the manager your child’s age and weight when you book. A rear-facing baby seat needs the front passenger seat pushed well forward, which cuts front legroom, so a forward-facing seat is easier in a two-door car.

Final Verdict: Which 4-Seater to Rent in 2026?
VerdictThe right open-top rental car depends on who sits in the back and how long the drive is. Adults in the rear: BMW 4 Series or Mercedes E-Class. Children and bags: any 2+2.
Alex Shvarov, Automotive expert with over 15 years of experience
The BMW 4 Series Convertible gives two adults a usable back seat and a boot that still takes soft bags with the roof down, from AED 770 a day. It suits renters who carry four people now and then.
The E-Class Cabriolet has the most rear legroom of the open four-seaters we can quote, 34.1 inches, and a ride tuned for quiet cruising, from AED 830 a day. The CLE is the newer alternative at AED 830.
The Mustang Convertible is a 2+2 with 317 HP from AED 590 a day. Rear legroom limits it to children or very short adult trips, but for open-top fun on a budget it is hard to beat.
The Continental GTC is among the finest luxury cars you can rent in Dubai, from AED 3 120 a day. Renters choose it for the front-seat experience and the brand, not for rear space.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can adults fit in the back of a 4-seater convertible?
Yes, in the right car. The BMW 4 Series (32.5 inches of rear legroom) and the Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet (34.1 inches) take two adults in the back for short and medium trips. The Ford Mustang, Bentley Continental GTC and Porsche 911 are 2+2 cars, so keep their rear seats for children or bags.
Which open-top car has the most rear legroom?
Among the car-based convertibles with a published figure, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet leads with 34.1 inches, ahead of the BMW 4 Series Convertible at 32.5 inches. If SUVs count, the four-door Ford Bronco Raptor has about 36 inches.
Can you fit a child car seat in a convertible?
Yes. Child seats are free with Brook Drive. Put the seat in the rear: a rear-facing baby seat needs the front passenger seat pushed well forward, so a forward-facing seat is easier in a two-door car. Tell the manager the child’s age and weight when you book.
Can a child sit in the front seat of a rental convertible in Dubai?
No. Under the UAE federal traffic law, children under 10 or shorter than 145 cm must not sit in the front seat, and children under four need a child seat. The fine for the driver is AED 400. In a convertible, that means every child rides in the back.
Can I rent a 4-seater convertible in Dubai without a deposit?
Yes. Brook Drive rents convertibles without a security deposit and without hidden fees. Basic insurance is included in the daily rate. Salik tolls are billed to the renter separately after the rental ends, fuel is full-to-full, and traffic fines are forwarded to the renter and paid after the rental.
